Abstract
Foundation is part of a building structure having function to continue the building load. Carrying capacity calculation of the foundation is an important factor to be considered. Description of the carrying capacity, which can be produced by a pile foundation at a project location can be seen from the result of field investigation and the picture of soil profile, as well as soil parameter from the laboratory result. The interaction between soil and foundation will produce a certain carrying capacity value. Article discusses, analyzes, and compares the carrying capacity of upright-pile and raking-pile through the end bearing (qc) and friction resistance (fs) on same soil condition. The purpose of this discussion is to make sure whether the foundation of upright-pile and raking-pile has similar value of friction resistance.
