Abstract

This paper presents a set of materials for approximately three hours of classroom interaction and the rationale underlying the materials writing The materials mainly consist of tasks aimed at raising learners awareness of language, particularly in the area of global and environmental issues. The activities are task-based and especially produced to incorporate the four language skills (reading speaking, listening and writing as well as language use which are required by the students to function effectively in the target language, English as an international language
